The Acura RDX, Honda's first production vehicle in the US that is turbocharged, has brought many new and exciting technologies to the sport compact market, one of which is it's fuel injectors. With what is said to be a superior spray pattern, and a CC rating of about 440 CCs/min at 44 psi, they are perhaps the best bang-for-buck injectors out there, costing a meager $34 each.
With a little bit of effort, you too can reap these benefits.
The injectors are marked as follows.
on one side:
DENSO
709.9
on the other:
0880 725 15
Putting them together:
Above is an RDX injector, part number 16450-RWC-A01, with a Scion TC injector connector, and a set of Acura wiring pigtails. All of these fit together perfectly.
Above is the connector from different angles. You can order it from Toyota, or online from a Toyota OEM parts supplier. Part number 90980-11875
Add to those the Acura pigtails, part number 04320-sp0-e00
And you get this:
Which leads to:
Making it work:
To get these to fit your intake, you need to machine an adapter ring to fit in the manifold I believe. I'll have more info on this later.
At the fuel rail side, you need to get one for 14mm Bosch style injectors. Mr gasket makes one for D16/15's. You then need to cut the little tab off of the injector. I chose to go the easy route and send my intake to Rosko Racing, as they are quite familiar with RDX injector retrofits, and custom make fuel rails that retain the tab on the injectors and any spacers needed for the rail and intake.
The numbers:
I sent eight Acura RDX injectors to Injector Rehab to be completely tested in every way they could. Below are the results, as well as the video of the flow test. Posted below are the results:

For those of you that don't know how to convert from BAR to PSI:
Thanks to Injector Rehab for the great communication and customer service. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again =D
i was to affraid of doing the RDX's simply becasue i didnt understand what to do with the tC clips and shit, but this def. was insightful man. Thanks alot!! Rep for you
Thanks Chris.
Just FYI, we sell adapters for the clips as well at Injector-Rehab so there would be no cutting the harness. These go from obd1 to Toyota and obd2 to toyota as well. I believe we are out of stock at this very moment, but have plenty on the way.
These guys (Injector Rehab) really do awesome work, as my Legend can attest to it after them taking two sets of used, beat up, leaky injectors and making them look brand new!
