I just bought supplies for a couple of breather/catch cans. Now I just need to decide, should I do boxy one like T1 etc or round one from 3" aluminum tube I bought, and where to locate it.

I think you should focus on design of the internals. Although I would go round assuming you will be doing the welding, a round design will have less welds and probably much easier to make.
Have you seen spdweb's design? I think it's the bee's knees.
Spdweb.net Automotive Tech - Catch Can Fabrication
(He's fixing the page right now, whoops.)
EDIT: here's the design page http://spdweb.net/index.php?option=c...=142&Itemid=41

if you have little room to work with like me, make a small bracket and mount it on that little piece of metal with a hole sticking out of your radiator near the top hose. its a relatively high flow-ish/cool location that aids in the condensation of gases inside the catch can.

If you dont have emmisions laws that you need to meet, and its a street car, why not just route the crankcase vent hoses to all dump under the car?

I ran 2 -10's of my motor to a 2 quart catch can per class rules, biggest waste of money. My motor was sealed up right so nothing more than a couple drops of condensation would ever show up, on the dyno I pulled the filter off the catch can to feel how much air was flowing out of the motor at RPM, it was barely noticable.

But you followed the rules. I have yet to throw a catch can on the d15.

Thats why this is called "OneCamOnly" . For some its not about the price. Its about the pride in which they take in building a Single Cam motor that stomps on all others. Sure it might cost a little more money for someone to get what they want out of a Single Cam motor. But doing a swap is too easy. Step up!

Luke, we've emissions laws that require PCV, but its only checked one per year (and I need to change cam, IM and dizzy to stock anyway..) so that's a worthwhile idea. I just don't prefer unnecessary polluting, and liquid oil is nasty for enviroment. I hate anything dripping from my car. This might be first time when its not dripping anything anywhere, so I'd want to keep the situation
dan15b, what info you want? If its related to harmonic damper, its new OEM Y8 piece with AC/PS snout turned off. I chose it simply because it had damper in it, and its the only one to fit with the Y8 oilpump/crank pos. sensor/timing belt cover (if not considering those light aluminum POS made for 96-00)
