Speedfactory Techs.....
So I'm just curious how everyone that's boosted in WA can pass emissions? I'm simply asking cuz i'm looking to turbo charge my car in the near future and I for see that being a problem. I was looking at the Greddy kit (only in order to pass emissions) but i'd really like something from the guys at Speedfactory or possibly a kit from Go-Autoworks!

If the car is 1995 or older, it'll pass a normal roller sniffer test as long as it's tuned right.
If it's newer (OBD2), give us a call at the shop and we can give you a few ideas.

Yeah it's OBD2, but if and when I do go the route of boost I would like to convert to OBD1 for tuning purposes will that change anything as far as emissions go?

well for obd2 vehicle, 96 and up they plug the ecu at the service connector to see if all of the sensors and stuff are working. If you convert to OBD1, the service connector will not work and they will probably automatically fail you. Or you can get lucky and they will throw you on the rollers to see if you pass the sniffer. You can get a waiver for exempt from emissions, but that is kind of tough and depends on the people. you have to show receipts that you spent over a certain amount of money trying to fix whatever problem you had as to why you failed emissions. oh and just because you change your ecu to obd1, doesnt make your car an obd1 vehicle. they go by the car year.

Yeah, I was thinkin' of getting a PO box in Thurston County. But if the guys at Speedfactory have a way around that B.S. i'm all for it. I simply haven't made it to their shop to talk to them yet.

Thats a good idea. But what happens when the State of Washington goes statewide emissions in the next year or two? The only good thing about that, is that they will lower the age from 25 years to 20 years.

Thats why this is called "OneCamOnly" . For some its not about the price. Its about the pride in which they take in building a Single Cam motor that stomps on all others. Sure it might cost a little more money for someone to get what they want out of a Single Cam motor. But doing a swap is too easy. Step up!
