You talking about the Y8 head from the 609 motor? Well, the intake port dividers are all cracked down the casting parting line, due to having to remove so much material to try and straighten the port out.

I'm worried it might drop a valve seat, so we opted not to use it any more.

Figured I'd get this dyno chart up finally.

560whp/381tq @ 29-30psi

D16Y7 block (stock sleeves)
75mm Vitara pistons & FJT H-beam rods (7.5:1 c/r)
Ported D16Z6 head
Golden Eagle IM
68mm Omni Power TB
Precision SC6262SP .82 a/r
Ramhorn turbo manifold
VP Q16
Bisimoto 3.6 cam

This motor is currently in the car, and it looks like we will be bringing the car down to BOTI Fontana to get some runs in. If anyone is from the area, come on down to the event - we'd love to meet some of you!

Also, we are currently testing the prototype unit of the new Competition Clutch Twin disc clutch for D-series! We have done some street and track driving to see how it performs, and so far so good! Nice pedal pressure, not overly stiff, and has a nice wide engagement range so it's easily modulated. So far I am loving it! Look for this clutch to be made available to the public soon!

Good stuff. Good luck at the event.

I was just talking to Tom about that clutch about a week ago. Can't wait to see how it does as well.

Good luck this weekend guys... Single digits would be an awesome feat for the car for sure.

Thats why this is called "OneCamOnly" . For some its not about the price. Its about the pride in which they take in building a Single Cam motor that stomps on all others. Sure it might cost a little more money for someone to get what they want out of a Single Cam motor. But doing a swap is too easy.Step up!

Where D's are better then B's and F always comes before K

Thanks. It's not going to go 9's, but a 10.3 or better would be nice! I just hope the track is decent, I keep hearing that it sucks.

It carries power well, but I'm not surprised by the torque because -

This motor is only 7.5:1 c/r with no quench, compared to the last motor that was 8.5+:1 c/r with tight quench. This motor was a total quicky throw together, no decking the block or anything, the IM wasn't port matched like the last one, and I'm not using nitrous which gives you HUGE torque increases.

Here are some pics of the Comp Clutch twin:

We would like to possibly get an introductory special going on these, they should be available to the public soon.

If anyone is seriously interested in one, let me know!

Thanks Greg. I absolutely love it so far - super easy to drive on the street, and holding the power isn't going to be an issue.

Sounds great!

How was the clearance on it? Did it go straight in?
