Haha, that'd be nice. I guess it depends on how hard I decide to push it.

I'm sure it'd clear 600whp if I wanted to push it that hard. Thing is, I just don't need that much power to go 9's. We'll see.

I still haven't put in the custom Bisimoto cam yet either!

Ohh! My guess doesn't count if the cam changes. That changes everything!

Tell us the boost pressure you plan to run, and then we can all make guesses on the post-tuning power

What's the most anyone has made on stock sleeves in a d? There has to be a point where cylinder pressure breaks 'em even with smooth combustion...

I'm guessing 530-550whp. My tranny has good gearing, but no strength mods. It and axles are the weak link.

True. Those Colorado guys did 640whp w/30psi + 200shot nitrous I believe.
Concreted block, block broke but sleeves didn't.

It'd probably hold 600whp for a little while, not very long is my guess.

600whp for stock sleeves is my guess. i wouldnt expect it to last a whole season or anything, but i think it would hold up long enough to make some serious track times. after what i put mine through, i dont see why not

I was so excited by the test results yesterday, that we decided to stay late tonight and do a bit more tuning. We only intended to finish the tune up off the WG with the 59500 cam, but got caught up in it and upped the boost a bit. The Bisi cam will go in at a later date.

So, after some cam gear adjustments, it made 451whp/281tq @ 19psi.
Absolutely incredible, exceeded my expectations by miles. I never though a D16 could make so much power so easily!

Then we upped it to 25psi and called it good for now. There's plenty left in it, but we stopped here for the moment.

551whp/355tq @ 25psi is the solid line.
451whp/281tq @ 19psi is the dotted line.

25psi dyno pull video: Should be up shortly, I just uploaded it.

The engine is running like a top, we checked the catch can after all the pulls, and there is nothing in it at all.

We decided to stop here for now as it's plenty of power, but there's alot left in it for sure! I'm super happy with the setup, it has exceeded my expectations in every way.
